The APM has provided us with a fantastic platform to showcase the project work that we are doing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The region as a whole is going through an incredible period of transformation and projects are at the heart of this growth and underpinning the vision that we have for the future.

We are at the forefront of massive technological change within the industry and project organisations need to be brave and willing to do things that they have not necessarily done before. Utilising data and digital technology has delivered the organisation significant returns on investment and we are delighted that the efforts of our team have been recognised by the Association for Project Management. Being part of an association like APM has provided DHL, the opportunity to share our learnings as well as learning from the vast range of sectors across the project industry. Much of our project teams are developed in-house, so it is great to provide the team with a chance to see what is happening elsewhere and to grow their networks.

Achieving my Chartership in Project Professional was personally very satisfying.  It provided the chance to review my entire career and examine both the successes and challenges.  Whilst you do need time to tackle the application, it is about articulating your achievements as a project professional, the technologies, methodologies and processes that you have applied.

I became a student association member during my apprenticeship and a full member following my graduation. I am now working towards my Chartership having recently completed the Project Management Qualification (PMQ).  I have also been an active member of the APM's Regional Network, which has played a vital role growing my network beyond my current organisation.
